In June of 2005, our friends told us about a young girl who was looking for a couple to adopt her child that would be born in three months. Could we be those parents? We were given so much advice on how to contact the birth mom and what to say to her. We were able to contact her and we couldn't believe that she wanted us to be her child's parents! The experience was such a rewarding feeling of love, hope, and dreams. Dillan is growing each day and is truly loved! more ...
We had a semi-open adoption and feel privileged to have been able to meet Avalien's birth mother. She is an amazing woman. I have so much respect for her. We tell Avalien every day how much her birth mother loved her and made this decision out of love. She will always know how much she loved her. more ...

These meetings and phone calls gave us an opportunity to become friends. This was an unbelievable, emotional, and trying experience. But most of all, it was a joyful one! We are truly blessed. more ...

Adoption Associates, Inc. and the hospital staff treated all of us with the utmost respect. We were given hospital bracelets and felt included in the whole process. We were truly honored to be a part of our son's birth! We are so proud and grateful to be involved in adoption. more ...

There are many social dimensions involved in transracial adoption, but we were well educated and prepared. Today the agency remains a very valuable resource even after our adoption of two African-American children. more ...
